Remedy IT announces ACE/TAO port for Android

Remedy IT has completed the port of ACE/TAO for Android 2.2 and 2.3.Using static libraries and the latest Android ndk we have validated that ACE and TAO are running as expected. With this port the CORBA community has received the option to use TAO as ORB on Android.

Various changes and extensions have been made to the code base.Additionally the ACE test framework has been extended to allow automatic testing of ACE/TAO using the Android emulator.

Remedy IT Publishes initial submission for AMI4CCM specification

Remedy IT has published a initial submission for AMI4CCM. The OMG released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for AMI4CCM at the OMG December 2010 meeting. Remedy IT is the first company world wide making a initial submission available for review.

The OMG work in progress page gives a detailed overview of the standardization process for AMI4CCM.
A reference implementation of our proposal is available as part of CIAO.

ACE stands for ADAPTIVE Communication Environment. ACE is an Object Oriented framework which implements many standard patterns for communications software. read more >>

TAO stands for The ACE Orb. TAO is an opensource implementation of a CORBA ORB, but also providing a large number of standard CORBA Service implementations. read more >>

 

CIAO stands for the Component-Integrated ACE ORB. CIAO is an implementation of the Lightweight CORBA Component Model (CCM) and Real-time CORBA built on top of The ACE ORB (TAO).

 

Our employees have several years experience using ACE /TAO/CIAO. Remedy IT is also actively involved in the development of ACE/TAO/CIAO as part of the core group of ACE developers.

Because of this experience we can quickly deliver correct working solutions. If necessary we will expand or enhance the functionality of ACE/TAO/CIAO to support your needs. These additions will than be merged back into the ACE archive so you can certain of a supported code base.
